• This settings allows you to restrict interaction with the calendar to only event clicks. users would not be able to select a time frame by click-and-drag

• Although you don't have to fire an event when a timeframe is selected, this will prohibit potential confusion from your users as to why they can select a time frame but not do anything with it afterwards.
